It's not everyday that I get to meet a fellow blogger in real life, but last week, Wendy of Fashionable Heart and I decided to finally meet up and swap presents for our Secret Santa exchange!
(P.S. She's awesome/fantastical, and you should definitely check her blog out!! Also, see what I got her in this post!)
Wendy was kind enough to toss everything into a Sephora VIB tote and give the whole thing to me. I was seriously baffled BECAUSE YOU BASICALLY HAVE TO SPEND $350 TO GET THAT TOTE BUT OK.
ANYWAYS, onto the good stuff! Here were my predictions!
(I think the fruit leather prediction would be better understood if you realise that I've had a massive fruit leather caving for months now, but apparently I'm too frugal to buy these darn things:
Also, food is on my mind 24/7...so...)
As I was unwrapping the tube/'pixie stick', it dawned on me..."WAIT. YOU KNOW WHAT ELSE IS ROUND? EYELINERS."
Tah-dah! Here's what I got:
Urban Decay 24/7 Eye Pencil in Zero - I am constantly baffled by anyone who can spend $20 on an eyeliner, but now that I have this cult favourite, I can laugh at anyone who doesn't (hahahaha peasants...jk). This is definitely going in my next 'Liner-Off'!!
ELF Eyeshadow Brush - Huzzah! Finally an ELF brush! While the brush is too large for my lids, I'll probably use it to ~strategically~ set powder on my concealed spots.
ELF 32- Piece Eyeshadow Palette- EXCUSE ME WHILE I SWOON OVER THE PALETTE. HELLO SHIMMERY NEUTRALS.

I LOVE EVERYTHING. It was my first time doing a Secret Santa with a 'stranger', and I have to admit that even though the whole process was a bit nerve wrecking on my end (I seriously bought several presents to decide which one to finally give), I'm pretty pleased with the whole experience!
Thanks Wendy, for picking me up some American goodies, and putting up with my endless emails/tweets (i.e. putting up with me in general)!!

I have the same elf brush! and i got it as a gift too haha :) review and swatch on the expensive eye liner pencil plsss, gonna head on over to her blog to see what you gave her :D btw how much did you get your acrylic organizer, i just want to compare it with the prices here :)
ReplyDeleteHEHEHE HIGHFIVE. I will eventually swatch that liner in a future liner-off probably, hah.
DeleteMine are actually just trays! I don't have access to mujis here, so I picked up stackable acrylic trays at $8 apiece (so steep ._.)
A beauty blogger secret santa! I wished I knew - it must have been so much fun :) Definitely going to be looking that up next year! That ELF palette looks amazing - seriously! And love the new acrylic storage - where did you pick it up from? :)
ReplyDeleteStephanie | theFantasia
There's always this year to do one! ;)
DeleteI picked it up at Solutions??? Er, link>http://www.solutions-stores.ca/ecommerce/control/product/~category_id=015001002001/~product_id=46089
I just picked several of these and stacked 'em up (pricey solution though ;-;)
OHHHH FANCY EYELINER!! I CANNOT WAIT FOR THE NEXT LINER OFF (PLEASE say there will be GIFS *___*)
ReplyDeletethis is such a lovely idea! Bet it was so fun exchanging gifts with a fellow beauty holic :P
and excited to see what you gifted her! LOVE LOVE LOVE THE STORAGE
especially the dividers! that's just a whole better level of organised!
THERE WILL ALWAYS BE GIFFFFFFFFFS 8D
DeleteAnd ikr! Beauty-holics tend to think alike, which is great! ;)
RIGHT? So glad some of the trays come with dividers, otherwise my eyeliners + mascaras would be everywhere :)
A foodie like myself? I will keep that in mind in the future! :) Why didn't I think to include snacks?!
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy we were paired together. You're amazing! <3
Psh, everyone is secretly a foodie ;)
Delete(Oh, and I realised I packed you candy canes, so you got snacks!)
Nah, you're amazing! :)
Ooo that eyeliner looks amazing! I have that eyeshadow brush and like it! Nice swap! :)
ReplyDeleteHah, I'm beginning to think it's a staple brush!
DeleteVERY NAICE! THE ELF EYESHADOW BRUSH IS POSSIBLY MY FAVOURITE BRUSH, IT COMPETES WITH THE MAC 217. A $1 BRUSH VS. A $30 BRUSH, IK, CRAZY RIGHT!?
ReplyDeleteAlso, shimmery neutrals are possibly my favourite things EVER. I'm obsessed, it's a problem. Believe it or not, I've never tried ANY ELF eyeshadows so I'd love to hear what you think of them, I wanna give em a shot ferrsure.
And of course, absolutely love UD eyeliner in Zero, it's such an awesome eyeliner, although I don't like wearing it in my waterline, I find it kind "melts" onto my lashline and below.
RAVE WORTHY BRUSH, EH? HAVEN'T USED IT YET, BUT BETTER LIVE UP TO THESE HYPED EXPECTATIONS ;)
DeleteI'm sure they're fine! (Idk I seem to be the worst at reviewing palettes and things, so idk)
Heck, I don't like wearing any liner in the waterline, it's too darn close to my eyeballs.
datt storage. so jealous.
ReplyDeleteQURL ;)
DeleteOoh what a faun idea and what lovely presents! The ELF shadow palette kind of looks like a piece of art. And that UD eyeliner is the bomb! The new storage system looks impressive btw!
ReplyDeleteRowena @ rolala loves
It was a pretty great idea! AND IT DOES, DOESN'T IT?? A geometric piece of art, haha.
DeleteThanks!
I love those UD liners! And I love that new storage! :)
ReplyDeleteAddictedtoOPI
Haha, the UD liners seem to be a cult classic. c:
DeleteThanks!
Great goodies! I totally need some new basic brushes and I really am jealous of the UD eyeliner! I really want one this year! Enjoy the palette!
ReplyDeleteHopefully you manage to get a hold of one this year!! + thanks! c:
Deleteyay for storage and yay for swaps! it looks like you'll be ready for all eyeshadow occasions with that palette lol
ReplyDeleteFrankly, I think I have too many eyeshadow palettes now ._.
Delete(But yay for storage!!!)
I think it's pretty lovely that you got to do a santa swap gift exchange with a fellow blogger. (I would check out her blog after this.) Hahaha... for me, eyeliner is the only MU I can't live w/o (besides mascara) so I would think it's ok to splurge on a good one. Glad you could laugh at other people now. Hehehe... Yay for your acrylic storage. Those are so neat to make things neat!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know those are called fruit leather! I just thought they didn't have a name and I call them fruit strips.
That is true! Splurge on what you use most often!
DeleteAcrylic storage is an actual lifesaver and looks so nice on the vanity :3
Awww that is sooo cute... :) I love the palette you got.. don't forget to post your review on these..
ReplyDeleteAm a new fellow blogger. Don't forget to pay my blog a visit. The Lipstickholic
Thanks! c: (And I will, eventuallyyyyyyyyy)
DeleteLove this post! So happy to hear that you got your first elf brush, it's one of my favorite of all time! A little bummed out that it doesn't fit your lids though :( Love the things in your swap. And like I said earlier in your Instagram, I'm so JELLY that you have acrylic storage. (Maybe I'll buy them for myself for a random holiday.... ;)
ReplyDeleteAhh! Definitely planning on buying more of their brushes in the future (that small elf..stipple..or flat top brush Emily Noel raves about)!
DeleteDO IT. DO IT THIS YEAR. IT'S A LIFECHANGER.
Aw the blogger secret santa thing is such a good idea! I'd love to take part in one. Buying people gifts is so much fun.
ReplyDeleteI'm so envious of that acrylic storage/make up collection! Need to get some for myself :) xx
It is!! Buying people's gifts is one of the best things about the holiday because you get to be creative :3
DeleteAhhh, get some! It's so convenient/easy to locate products inside!
no new blog post why-oh-why :D
ReplyDeleteDARNIT SHAYNE ;-;
